Landmark Inc. is a family owned company dedicated to building and remodeling fine homes. Owners Bob and Dianne McAdam began building homes 30 years ago employing a simple philosophy: Combine quality, value and one-on-one contact with the customer. Past customers refer Landmark Custom Homes to their friends and family.
Jim Zuccone was hired in 1994 as project manager. With his engineering, drafting and building experience, he has become the designer of all of our remodel projects and draws some of our in house plans.

We have been incorporated since 1978 as Landmark, Inc.
Some of our Construction practices include the following:
* We build and certify our homes to Energy Star Standards
* We use only service-oriented subcontractors who take pride in their work.
*We use only the highest quality building materials. All of our sub floor decking is genuine 7/8" thick (not 3/4" like many others) tongue & groove CDX
plywood. Our floors are quiet!
* For wall sheathing we use genuine Plywood, no OSB!
* We use engineered floor and roof truss systems. The advantages are numerous. Besides being strong, they allow us to hide the heating, cooling and
plumbing mechanicals within the floor system. This keeps ceilings free from most soffits. Others use off the rack TGI floor systems that necessitate soffits in
many instances.
* All of our hardwood floors are genuine 3/4" tongue & groove which is installed unfinished. All finishing takes place on site within the last few weeks of
construction. We then cover the wood to protect it.
* Our cabinetry is all custom made! There are no "box cabinets" in any of our homes.
* Our plumbers use only copper and Wirsbo hot & cold-water piping. Others use plastic "PVC" for hot and cold-water piping!
* We use cast iron main waste stacks to cut down on water noise.
* In developments that require wells, we use only high capacity well pumps and pressure tanks that are designed to support irrigation systems. We also
include water softeners as a standard!
* We insulate the walls and sheetrock the entire garage of every house!
* We build all of our houses to exceed the stringent Minnesota Category One standards. We use FORMALDEHYDE FREE R-21 wall and R-50 ceiling
insulation. The Category One Standards are R-19 and R-44. We use gasketed electrical boxes on exterior walls and high efficiency recessed cans. We
insulate our rim joist area with expandable closed cell foam. All of the polyethylene sheeting joints are taped and sealed.
* We offer open or closed cell foam for walls and ceilings to those who desire it.
* We can do many types of Ultra High Efficiency HVAC to suit budgetary needs. Our standard HVAC system consists of a High Efficiency Lennox furnace
and AC unit, April Aire Humidifier and Venmar air exchanger.
* We are experts in the area of Ultra High Efficiency Hot Water In floor Heat.
* We can install Geo Thermal and other Energy Saving heating and cooling systems.
* We continue to keep our customers happy long after closing. We have built multiple houses for people. We can be your builder for life!
